QR code FAQ
Can I change a published QR code?
- Once a QR code is published you can only change:
- The QR code styling
- The QR code image
- The Name and Description
- The Location
- The social preview and any data associated with the QR code such as a specific membership package can’t be changed. If you want to change these you will need to create a new QR code.
What is the best practice for setting up QR codes?
With the most basic set up all you need to create is one registration QR code like this.
With more advanced set ups you can create many QR codes with one for each physical location in order to track where users are registering from.
What is the difference between a Hivepass QR code and a Branded app QR code?
Hivepass QR codes use a technology called dynamic links while branded app QR codes use deep links.
Dynamic links are much more advanced and will still work when the user does not have the app installed where as deep links require the app installed to open, although they can fall back to a web page. The dynamic links will only open the Hivepass app while the deep links will open in the following apps; Hivepass, QMTBC, NTMBC, Trails Wellington. However they essentially do the same thing.
