Membership categories

Membership categories help you organise your different membership packages, making it easier for users to find the right option.

Tip: Using categories makes your memberships easier to navigate, especially if you have a large number of options. We generally only recommend setting up categories if you have more than six membership types. If you have fewer, it's usually simpler to leave them ungrouped.

➕ Create a new category

On the Membership Packages page in the Admin app, click the + Category button at the top right to add a new category.

You might want to create a new category if your organisation has several types of memberships. This helps keep everything organised and is especially useful if your organisation offers a wide range of membership options.

📦 Add membership packages to a category

After creating a category:

  1. Click + Individual, + Family, or + Group to add a new membership package.
  2. Under the Main tab, use the Category dropdown to select the category you want the membership to appear under.


📱 How categories appear in the app

In the Hivepass mobile app, members will first select a category before choosing the specific membership package they need.
