When registering a family, the Primary Family Member can sign the waiver on behalf of any minors or piggyback members without an email address.

βœ… Set up

🎈 The legal adult age in Hivepass is defaulted to 18.

  1. Ensure that under Settings-> Organisation Settings the 'Legal adult age' is set correctly for your organisation.
  2. Save
  3. Select the membership type that requires a waiver Settings > Membership
  4. Under the Advanced tab select Has a mandatory Digital Waiver
  5. Use the drop down to select the correct waiver
  6. Optional: Select All Family/ Group Members Require Agreement. More details on how this works below.

πŸ”„ How it works for the user

  1. After selecting the membership they require, they will be asked if they are over the legal age you have set for your organisation
  2. Enter their address details
  3. Enter details of their family members
  4. Go to PAY (which will trigger the waiver process)
  5. At this stage the primary family member only will need to enter their birth date
  6. The waiver will be viewed next and at the bottom they are required to sign on behalf of themselves and any minor or piggyback members in their family.
  7. Select 'I Agree to the Terms & Conditions'. This will take them back to the payment screen so that they can complete the membership process
Steps 1, 5 and 6

↗️ Note: Once the family is active (paid for), the secondary members of the family / those with an email address will be sent an email including a link to agree to the waiver. Or they will be prompted to sign the waiver when they create their own account on their own device.

βœ‹ All Family/Group members Require a waiver

If this membership type is configured to have All Family/Group Members Require Agreement active, the primary family member will only sign for themselves and any minors in their family, at the time of registration.

The Primary family member will have an amber screen advising them that their membership will not be activated until all members of the family have agreed to the waiver.

πŸ“’ Adding additional members to the family

Each time another family member who is a minor is added in the app, the Primary Family Member will be required to agree to the waiver on their behalf.
  1. On the digital card, select the family icon
  2. Edit my family
  3. Pay for additional children
  4. Enter name and agree to the waiver. The family members that the primary is signing on behalf of will be listed above the T & C's button

✍️ Note: If the additional family member is an adult with an email address, the primary family member’s account will return to an amber screen until the new member has logged in on their own device and agreed to the waiver.
