Group Membership
What is group membership? Group memberships allow large groups to join by supplying the members with a unique group code. These could be employees of local businesses, schools or other organisations.
- Go to Settings -> Membership Settings
- Select the 'New Group' button at the top right
Main Tab
- Your Membership Package will require the following;
- Name - must include the word 'Membership' or 'Pass' (this name is visible to users)
- Code / Slug (this must be unique to this package - it cannot be the same as another package)
- Description (if applicable and only visible to you)
- Price
- Ensure that the 'Is Group Membership' box is checked. This will make the 'Group Settings' tab visible.
Group Settings tab
- Set up your group here. It is important to get this set up exactly as you require at this stage.
The 'Base' number of adults and children is what your membership package price includes. Above this number, the additional adults or children are charged at the extra price shown to the right.
For example, the 'base' price is x10 adults and x5 children = $500 (the price set on the Main page).
Extra Adult = $20
Extra Child = $5
So x12 adults and x8 children = $550.
The 'Maximum' number of group members dictates how large the family can be. In this example, it is set at 20 Adults and 10 Children (30 members total).
The group registered under this membership package cannot exceed 30 members.
- The 'Default' number is the number the group will be set to start with in the app.

Image Tab
- On the Main Tab you can choose between uploading an image or selecting an icon for your membership package. If you select image here, the Image tab will appear. The image or icon you set here will be visible in the admin app and also show to the user at the time of payment.
- If you select icon under the Main Tab, you can choose the icon and colour under the Custom Icon Selection Tab.
- The Hivepass logo will default if no image is set or icon chosen.
Note: The membership package must be saved before an image can be added.

The Custom Icon for Digital Card will show on the users digital card screen. This icon does not have to be the same as the Custom Icon shown in Admin (above).
