Change a piggyback to a user with an account
You can change a piggyback user (a family member with no email address /account) to one with a full account in the app.
This is typically needed when a younger family member gets their own email and wants to use Hivepass on their own device.

🔧 Changing a 'Piggyback' user into an account with an email in the app
To convert a Piggyback user to a full account, delete the Piggyback and re-add them to the family using their email address.
Follow these steps:
- Logged in as the primary family member, select the family icon on the digital card screen, then Edit my family from the pop up menu
- Click on the Edit icon for the piggyback user tile, then Remove Member. Confirm
- This will create an empty space in the family for you to add the member back into
- To do this, select Add family member and enter their email, names, age and gender
- Save and finish
- If the membership requires a waiver, this will be displayed now. If the family member you have just added is a minor, you will be asked to sign this on behalf of them. If they are over 18, they will be asked to agree to the waiver when they log into the app on their own device /sent an email asking them to agree
- The family members details are now visible in the app. They will also be sent an email with login details notifying them that they have been added to the family.
