🔗 The essentials
There are essential parts to your newsletter that may already be set up as part of your initial Hivepass set up. It’s worth making sure these are all in place so that the information can be pulled through automatically to the newsletter template, saving you time in the long run!
⚙️ Outside of the newsletter editor
Here’s a handy checklist of settings to check:
✅ Logo. Your organisation logo appears in the newsletter header. This can be set either under Settings > Account Styling OR Communications > Email Campaign Settings
🙌 Social Links. These appear in both the header and footer of the newsletter. As a default in the templates, we have Facebook, Instagram and Website. The handles for these can be added in Settings > Communication Settings.
💡If your organisation has another type of social account you wish to include in the header and footer, this can be added in the editor.
If you do not have Facebook, Instagram or website details entered here, these icons will automatically be left off of the newsletter.
📞 Contact information. Also under Settings > Communication Settings, enter the email and phone number you wish to appear on the newsletter footer
✉️ Address. Settings > Organisation Settings enter your organisations’ physical address here.
🔍 Within the newsletter editor
Here are a couple things to consider or edit within the newsletter editor:
💰Donate. A donate button is built into the newsletter template and will take the user directly to your organisation's donation web page and is coded already. You don't need to edit this.
🙌 'Be one of them!' supporter email link. This button in the sponsors section just above the footer provides a one click through for possible supporters or sponsors to send an email to your organisation.
To edit, make sure the button is selected, so that the Button Block panel appears to the right, where the subject and content of the email can be edited.
💡The Button text can also be edited here.
🔔 In the newsletter templates, you can choose what to display in the header and footer of your newsletter. I.e: you don’t have to provide a phone number and can delete any fields not required.
