Member tags
Members will be assigned tags based on specific user behaviours.
The tags show under the relevant members' 'Tags' column on the members list page.
The following system tags are auto-generated:
3 year member - has been a member for more than 3 years
5 year member - has been a member for more than 5 years
Multi Org - belongs to multiple organisations
Donor - has donated any amount
Bronze Donor - has donated $200 - $500
Silver Donor - has donated $500 - $1000
Gold Donor - has donated $1000 +
Large Donor - single large donation of $500+
Note: the Bronze, Silver and Gold tags are based on cumulative donations for all time.
These tags can't be deleted in admin.
Manually assigning a tag to a user
There are tags that can be manually assigned to a user:
Committee - is on the committee for the organisation
Volunteer interest - has indicated interest in volunteering
You can also create your own custom tags.
- Go to Communications > Member Tags
- Select 'Add Tag' at the top right hand corner
- Enter the name for your tag and a enter a description. (This will show when the tag is hovered over.)
- Assigning a tag to a member: Go to the Members list and find the appropriate member
- Under the tags column, hover over that area until a blue + icon appears. Click on 'Add a tag'
- From the dropdown menu, select the tag you wish to add.
Note: Tags added to a member manually are blue, system tags (auto-generated) are grey
Filtering members by tags
The system and manual / custom tags allow you to filter members by category to quickly select a specific or special interest group.
To do this:
- Go to the Members list
- Find any example of the tag you wish to filter by in the member list
- Click on it and select 'Filter by this tag'
- Your entire membership will be filtered by this tag. You can reset at any time by clicking the red remove tag icon at the top of the Tags list.
Note: When the Email campaign functionality is released, tags will enable you to send targeted emails to members based on specific tags or a combination of tags.
