Onboarding - donation url

Add a link to donate.hivepass.app

If your organisation accepts donations then you can add a link to your website to allow people to donate. 

It is important to provide transparency around what the donations are going to be used for as this is a common concern among supporters and providing detailed information on this will greatly increase your donations.

1. Simply add the url "https://donate.hivepass.app/yourslug"
   1. Your slug can be found here: https://admin.hivepass.app/settings/organisation
2. it is highly recommended that you add donation text explaining what the donations will be used for.
   1. Go here to do that: https://admin.hivepass.app/settings/donation
3. Make sure donations are turned on
   1. Go to https://admin.hivepass.app/settings/organisation and turn on donations
   2. 
4. Optional - Add donation projects
   1. Turn on projects here (if not on): https://admin.hivepass.app/settings/application
   2. Create some projects here: https://admin.hivepass.app/projects and they will appear on the donate.hivepass.app web page
   3. Projects are not currently available on the mobile app but will be added in the future
5. Generate a donation QR code
   1. Go here https://admin.hivepass.app/settings/qr/qr-reg-list
   2. Click "New QR Code" in the top right and select "Donation"
   3. Once the QR code is created you can download it. Scanning this QR code is the same as going to the url "https://donate.hivepass.app/yourslug"
   4. Once downloaded this can be printed and added to physical locations such as trail hubs or local businesses (it is highly recommended that QR Codes are tested before being distributed.) 

• If the user clicking the link has the Hivepass app installed then it will open the mobile app for the user to donate from. There are no fees for this
• If the user does not have the mobile app installed they are taken to the https://donate.hivepass.app/ web page and there is a 2.5% Hivepass fee on donations from here.
