Lifetime members

How to create lifetime members.

  1. Create an individual membership package called "Life Membership" or similar at Settings - Membership Settings. 
  2. Set the package to "Free".
  3. For the new package you created under "Advanced" set "Hidden from user selection" to on and "Custom Duration" to on. Set the custom duration to 999 Months.

  5. Go to the "Custom Icon" tab and select a custom icon if you would like one.
  7. Click "Save".
  8. Go to the Settings - QR codes - QR codes (Hivepass) Note: you may need to style the QR code first. 
  9. Create a new QR code and select "Registration for Specific Membership".
  10. Select the Life Membership membership package you created.
  11. Edit the QR code as needed, remember the social preview can't be changed after publishing. For more information on QR codes see here.
  12. Click "Publish and Save".
  13. You can now send this QR or QR code url to your lifetime members when they scan the QR code or click the link it will take then through to the lifetime membership package and they will just have to enter their details and click "Join Now".
  14. Your lifetime members digital card will look similar to the card below.

Added security - admin approval to become a lifetime member

With the process above anyone that gets hold of the QR code or url can make themselves a lifetime member. Of course as the admin you will see this. If you want an additional layer of security you can use a promo code.

  1. Go to Settings - Promo/Code Settings.
  2. Create a new promo code a code of your choice e.g "4LIFE", add a description and then set the "Membership Expiry Date" to 01/01/2099.
  3. Go to Settings - Application Settings and make sure under "Admin App" that "Use Promo Codes" is turned on.
  4. Go to Settings - Organisation Settings and make sure under "Member Fields" that "Show Promo Code Entry for Member" is toggled on.
  5. Go to the lifetime membership package and under advanced settings select "This membership package requires a Promo Code".
  6. Also send this promo code to you lifetime members with the QR code and url.
  7. Now the user will need the QR code / url and the promo code to request the membership.
  8. The admin will now receive a membership request and can accept or reject this.
