Events on Hivepass
Hivepass features an events platform that allows your organisation to promote events run in your area, whether they are facilitated by your organisation or a third party.

βοΈ Setting up your event in admin
- Go to Events in the side menu
- Click on New event at the top right
- Select External event. This simply means that when a user looks at the calendar, they will click links to a website to register and pay for the event. Registration and payment cannot yet be done in the hivepass app.

Then enter the following details;
- Basic Info: Title, type, date, time, event url, registration url
- Details: Summary, description, price, organiser, specific categories for filtering (i.e: free, kids), results url, essential times
- Recurring schedule (coming soon)
- Location: location type, address finder (creates a google map)
- Images: Featured image and thumbnail image
- Comms (coming soon)
- Social Media: Instagram and facebook links
- Once all of the details have been added, click Publish at the left side of the page
- This will mean that the event is now live and able to be viewed in the hivepass app.
β οΈ The event can be unpublished at any time and details edited after publishing. However, it's recommended to leave the event in draft until all information is confirmed.
πΌοΈ Thumbnail image is used for the main events calendar, the featured image sits at the top of the event details page. If no thumbnail image is uploaded, the featured image will be auto-cropped to a 1:1 thumbnail for the calendar.
π The event calendar
In the hivepass app, users can view the events by clicking on the Calendar icon in the bottom menu (or in the side menu if the bottom menu is not configured to include events)
Here they can:
- View upcoming and past events
- Filter events using the buttons at the top (type, location etc)
- View events in date order
- Click through to an event to see further details
From the event details page, the user can:
- View more detail
- Click social links
- Click on the location to see it in google maps
- Register for the event (opens a browser window)

On the main event page in admin, it's possible to see how your published event is performing;
- Registrations
- Number of spaces left - if the event is capped at a specific number of entries. (Coming soon)
- Views
